(1) the tool handle part hit by the hammer is vulnerable to local fragmentation due to long-term impact. For this reason, metal hoop (bronze ring) should be installed at the end of the tool shank such as chisels, punch heads, rock drill, etc.
(2) for the hand tools that need to be installed with wooden handle, the wooden handle should be made of tough and resilient wood (such as oak, elm, walnut, locust, maple, etc.). The handle shall have a smooth surface, free from scarring, cracks and other defects.
(3) the connection between the wooden handle and the hammer head and axe must be firm and solid, so as to prevent the handle from breaking off or the hammer head flying out. If the handle is loose in use, it must be immediately wedged. Must not only rely on wedge fastening, wooden handle and equipment hole coordination is more important.
(4) to prevent the wooden handle from spinning and slipping in the hand, the wooden handle should be made into an oval shape.
